I knew you had to be from the southeast when I read Stormy Weather. You captured the language and dialect of the southeast. You also did a wonderful job writing the biting, sometimes acerbic tongue of a good "GRITS". The characters were likeable, believable and real. Vonda is a refreshing cross between Fanny Flagg and Dixie Carter. Loved it!! I was born/raised in eastern NC and could relate to the characters, location and circumstances. Thanks!! It takes a southerner to understand a southerner, Pam. Thanks so much for your kind praise! I appreciate you stopping by to share your thoughts, and I'm tickled you enjoyed Vonda's story.

Geri, are you on Facebook? MJP

Of course, MJP. I'm sure there's a direct way to get to my FB page, but I don't it, so when you've logged on to FB, just enter my name in the search feature. I look forward to seeing you there!

Dear Geri, I read of your Stormy Weather novel in People magazine and it sounds like fun. However, I cannot abide filthy language and/or gratuitous sex with detailed explicit descriptions. Is this book free of this negativity? Please let me know so I may order this book from Amazon. Thank you, Janine Johnson, Orlando, FL

Good question, Janine, thanks for asking. Stormy Weather doesn't contain any scenes of a sexual nature. Even though Vonda's story is told with humor, it does contain a smattering of mild language that may not be suitable for everyone. Thanks so much, Janine, for stopping by and sharing your concerns.

How would I go about purchasing an "Out of Print" novel? Sheila

Give the used book stores a try, Sheila. If the book's not available at a UBS in your town, try searching Amazon.com and eBay. They are both serviced by a large number of used book sellers across the country. Good luck in your search!

I won a copy of For Pete's Sake in The Romance Book Club chat. This is a great book that I finished in one night. You truly perfected the southern dysfuctional family. This book has just the right amount of romance, drama and humor. I would highly recommend For Pete's Sake. Thanks for a great read. I'm so glad that I won your book. Tara Woods

Thank you so much for the kind words, Tara. I'm glad to hear you liked Pete and Danny's story, and even more thrilled that you took the time to let me know. The Romance Book Club is a great place to meet readers, and I always enjoy participating in TRBC events. I hope to see you again at another of their get-togethers.

Who's the little girl pictured on the bookshelf page? It looks old. Tammy

Goodness, Tammy, the photo's not that old. The little girl is me. The picture was taken in Frankfort, Germany, when I was about 5 years old or so. Reading was a passion for me, even back then. Thanks for noticing and for asking.
